I really do wish people would stop all the spam. Do you not realize that most of the blogs are moderated? Especially the word press blogs? I mean it comes to my inbox and I look at it and hit delete. What a waist of time for me. Not to mention a waist to you since it’ll never get seen by anyone other than myself. Sooooo easy to see it’s spam. Redunkulous!

Painting for sale.

Well everyone, I never thought I’d do this, but I am letting go of a small painting that I created for myself years ago. 5×7 Angel energy “Guidance” original oil painting. I don’t put the smaller paintings into print and I’ve sold all the others in this collection.
Make me an offer. I need felting needles. No income means I must sell something in order to purchase anything lol Hope you like it. Colors in the photo don’t do it justice. The cloud formation is more to the purple than in the image and the red on the angel is a bit darker than what it’s showing.

New Beginners class DVD release!

Hi everyone! I have two completed Beginner class project instructional DVD’s that are now available to order on the fiber section of the website. The third beginners DVD project class is in the works and will be online available for order in the next day or two. I may go on with other beginner classes on DVD or get into some of the intermediate ones. But keep checking the website for more to be added. I can’t do the in person classes due to illness so this is one way to bring the classes to you. If you are curious there is also a FREE beginners video streamed online on my site called beginners tools and tips. It’ll show you the birds eye view of the DVD’s and the way I teach. Also give you basic knowledge of needle felting.

On a roll

Well everyone, I think I’m on a roll. Today I taped the second beginners class video in needle felting. St. Patty’s Pot of Gold! It has to go to editing but it should be ready by tomorrow or Thursday depending on how much of it I get done. I’m setting up the website pages to make these dvd’s available to be shipped and for online download. I look forward to many creative journeys with wool!

You know Valentines is not just for couples. The day is to celebrate all the Love you have in the world. So think of, talk with, feel the Love of all those in your life who mean something to you.

To celebrate this day I’ve completed my 1st DVD for beginners. A project step by step called Cascading Hearts. It’s now available on DVD and I’ll have an online download in the next week or so.

Coming next is a DVD class for beginners called St. Patty’s Pot of Gold! Stay tuned.

Finally after many many hours of trial and error, I have the intro to tools and tips for beginners video done and up on the website! This video is just shy of a half hour of informative information about beginning needle felting sculpture. I have had so much fun with this art form I just have to share it with everyone! This video is free to whom ever wants to learn. I am now in the process of producing the beginner classes DVD’s where you will have the chance to learn step by step instruction on how to create beautiful needle felted sculpture. After working the last few days getting lighting, sound, angles etc just right and doing take after take to adjust what I was saying. I finally got a wrap! So the 30 min. introduction to needle felting tools and tips is ready to go into editing and finalize it. This little video will teach all the basics about tools, using wool, making shapes for sculptures, adding color and will be added to the beginning of every class DVD that I’ll produce. I’m soooo excited about this new venture! I finally feel comfy talking and teaching to a camera lol I’ll put this clip up on the site as soon as it’s ready so you can see the basics. I do have to install a video player to my website first of course lol but I’ll get er done and let you watch! Stay tuned!

Follow your dreams

So I’m still working at everything. I want some background music as I video so I am searching for music that I can use. Don’t want to violate any copywrites. But I do listen to a specific artist who plays pan flute most of the time when I’m needle felting. The beat is up and keeps me working. His name is Luis Martos. So I’ve emailed him in regards to his music and what a cost would be to use his music as the background since it was listened to so much during the process and creation of my work. Prayers that he lets me have right to use.
It just seems so fitting that I use the music that inspires me to create!
Ok if not then I’ll keep searching for some instrumental music that can be used for the DVD. More updates to come as they happen.

In the mean time I have started to add fur to the cat body! Now I get excited hehe. I’ll post more pictures on the Life size cat sculpture page as I progress for those of you who are following this project. Just know that everyone can create in needle felting! It’s just a matter of learning how it all works.

Always something to do

Yesterday was fun getting things set up. Have good lighting and sound now. The angle is nice, and I’ve written a sort of script of the things I want to say and in what order. So today will be the shoot. I need to spend a couple hours practice so that I get rid of the um’s lol I did a test shoot yesterday and everything was good but my voice haha Don’t we all hate the sound of our own voices? Well I do need to have this practiced so I don’t feel uncomfortable because that always comes out in the voice. I love what I do but I think to just get rid of the thought that it’s being videoed will help. Maybe if I line up some of the dolls on the desk and just pretend I’m teaching them, I’ll forget about the camera hahaha. It’s only my hands and work area that you see, but still, just knowing it’s being videoed is enough for me to stall and um a lot hehe. Well We’ll see how it goes on today’s run and then into the editing! This is just the information and explanation session that will be added to each beginners DVD so there is a reference to the basics to go back and watch if needed.

Hey everyone! Today is a milestone, because we begin the process of producing the video of needle felting classes. Playing with lighting, angles and sound has been not so much fun but take after take to test these things has been if nothing else, humorous. I intend to create an intro to needle felting to be added to the beginning of each class video, so just in case you need to freshen up on the basics, it’s there. I’ll be doing a series of beginner projects on DVD so you can learn without having to be in my geographical area. Eventually I’ll have beginners, intermediate and advanced projects produced on DVD! So while taking a break, I thought I’d just catch you up on what’s happening here. I’ll update you all on the end result that I hope to have completed and ready to purchase by the end of Feb. In the mean time… keep on felting! and have a most wonderful day.
